The Companion

A toy that never phones home. A plush that runs rhyming and counting games entirely on the chip inside it. Press the paw to talk. The child's voice is processed where it is spoken and destroyed there.

Concept render for planning and discussion. Not as-built photography.

How it works

Press the paw. The chip wakes.

Same rule as the book. A plush that only listens when squeezed cannot capture ambient audio, and it sleeps between presses so the battery lasts months.

Play. Rhymes, counting, self-facts.

Voice-first games scoped to what a two-to-five-year-old is building. The scope is narrow on purpose; a small bounded model is faster and more coherent than a general one.

Why it works

Curio streams a child's voice to third-party AI operators by its own policy. Moxie went dead when its company did. Ours has no operator list and no server to lose, because nothing leaves the toy.
